As soon as I saw this pattern, I knew I had to make it a dress! I added a few darts, some side panels to the bodice, and hacked off a few inches at the hem. Since I am on a preschool teacher’s budget,I made the additional challenge of using only what I had in my fabric stash. Ive been waiting for an excuse to use that vintage lace for years! I used flannel backed satin for the bias taping… I wanted it to match the tie at the waist. Also left black hem facing a little to peek out from the hem…and made the buttons on the back!
