I chose to work with the Sateen blouse pattern. Drafted as instructed, it was quite large. I shortened the torso, shortened the sleeves and took it in quite a bit. To update it, I added a peplum and made it in tangerine – both are hot for spring. I also added a belt. I wanted the shirt to be a little more casual so I chose to make it in cotton gauze rather than sateen.
