This entry is based on the One Seam Skirt ePattern provided in Option 3 by Indigo Junction. Sizing this pattern for a child was easy since it is all based on the waist measurement.
There are seven pleats in this version of the skirt. Three are centered in the front and four are centered in the back The sides of the skirt are without pleats so that bound hip pockets can lay flat. The shaped pockets and binding (on the pockets and waist) were added to give a quirky vintage accent to the skirt. Also, the skirt length is shorter to appeal to today’s youthful spirit.
I used stretch denim and bias binding.
