Vintage Wool Jumper

Added Mar 27, 2010

by strangeasanjles

Norfolk, Virgini...

I was given this gorgeous acid green chevron-weave wool fabric two years ago while working at the St. Louis Opera and it was perfect for the jumper dress I’d been planning to make for so long.

I modified the pattern for a cocktail dress that I have, removing the bodice, shortening the hem a bit and adding straps and buttons. Also added flattering ruching at the SF seams.

Material Notes

vintage wool, vintage flower buttons

Garment Type
Casual, Classic, Mod, Other, Preppy, Romantic, Vintage

I’ve been looking for vibrant colors for a while now. I have my blue, purple, teal, white, and yellow. I hae not found a great green yet. Now I know why…you have it. This is such a great color for this skirt. Did you make the top as well?
