I made this dress using Vogue’s vintage pattern 8942 which is going to be 60 years old! I used a vintage kimono remnant for the facings and a brushed viscose crepe fabric for the dress itself. All the vertical seams were pinked and topstitched while the horizontal seams have seam binding finish. The dress also has a lapped zipper on the skirt’s side seam and snap closure at the bodice.
