This is a 1957 pattern reproduction by Vogue. It includes princess seams and a flared skirt with inverted pleats. I’ve also created a matching belt for even more of a vintage touch!
The yoke/sleeves construction is a bit challenging on this dress, so careful reading of the instructions is a must. It also eats up quite a bit of fabric – 7 yards for my size. It’s totally worth it, though!
Pattern: Vintage Vogue 2903, http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v2903-products-4894.php?page_id=850
Fabric: Cotton from Joann’s Fabric
Sweet dresses, an outfit for a doll, and cute embellishments are fun for the holidays!
