This was going to be a test run for the vintage reproduction pattern Vogue 1137, as I had to grade the pattern down in size, shorten the bodice and skirt, and make a small bust adjustment, and I didn’t want to cut into my expensive Liberty wool just yet.
However, once I’ve pinned it up, I loved how it look I just had to finish it! I think it’s going to be very wearable, as it’s an elegant little number.
I didn’t end up lining the bodice, as the pattern suggests, so I drafted facing pieces for the neckline, and finished the armholes with single-fold bias facing.
