Description

This dress (Vogue V8379) is easy to make, and easy and delightful to wear. This was my first time sewing with knit. I am finally moving beyond quilting cottons! I added 6 inches to the hem to give it more of a 1930s look. I also took up more fabric in the bodice pleats to reduce the bust, and I added to the waist. I biased taped the facing edges and added stretch lace to the hem edge. I can’t stand raw edges!

Material Notes

cotton jersey
