I made these using a lovely vintage 1949 Simplicity pattern # 2692 (you can see more of this pattern here: http://vintagepatterns.wikia.com/wiki/Simplicity_2692)
I lowered the waist on this pattern to modernize it a bit and decided at the end that I will be making it again but exactly like the original, as the vintage silhouette is actually more flattering.
The pattern instructions were great and I felt like I was going back in time a bit as I swore, drank, and sewed my way though these little cuties. (the satin was a nightmare to sew with.)

I have a 40’s petticoat in in my project file so you inspire me. I was thinking voile because I want it to go under summer dresses. If I get it right then I might try the satin. You were brave!
