This shirt dress pattern comes from my late grandmother’s collection. I decided to make the sleeveless version in a floral rayon for spring/summertime. I love shirt dresses and have wanted to make one for ages but was a bit daunted by the number of tricky steps I assumed would be involved. However, this pattern was lovely and simple – a great introduction to shirt dress-making! I’ve marked the pattern ‘novice’ as I found it very straightforward, but I wouldn’t recommend to an absolute beginner. I have put more construction and pattern details on my blog Lady Stitcher
