Description

I started with a vintage dress that was found in my attic and turned it into a lolita one piece. I took off the original sleeves and add these ones. I also added the top part and collar to the original neckline. I had to take out the old zipper because it wasn’t that great and it only zipped the dress up halfway, the rest was done with snaps (it’s a side zipper) and I wasn’t liking that at all so now there’s a nice matching blue one in there. The dress had to be taken in A LOT because the woman who made this was much much bigger than me. Also noteworthy, the petticoat under this is pretty much dead, I made a new one but I don’t have pictures yet. The skirt is very full though.

Its lovely. I like it when you can remake an old garment.

It is nice, although sometimes I think it’s more work to redo one than to start from scratch!
