My sister in law took me to her fave nik nak shop and there were tons of vintage fabrics for sale, I could only afford one…so I had to choose! Gulp! Anyway chose this very crisp( will crease) bright flowery cotton. Used the shift dress pattern from burda 06/2013 magazine. I almost wished I hadn’t. The side cut out sections drove me mad. The piping is supposed to go around the whole shape but I couldn’t get it to lie flat , so I just piped the vertical bits. The piping for the pockets and neckline were really much easier to do. I like the neckline actually and as the zip is at the side, it’s not affected in any way. I used size 36 with no adjustments needed. This dress isn’t perfect but it’s come out ok.
