I sewed this garter belt for the birthday of my boyfriend : ).
I love the shape of the vintage Garter belt that goes to the waist and covers the hips. I had a piece of white silk that I dyed pink with a Dylon Camelia A16 and I used black velvet elastic to make details. I traced the pattern according to my measurements and I added six bones and eyelets in the back. The lining is black thick cotton.

Great job! How do you like to wear a garter belt made without stretch like this (and by ‘whales’, do you mean boning?)?

Thank you Laurianna! This is a “special” belt that I don’t wear all day long but just some time to time. However, it’s very comfortable despite the rigidity of the fabric. May be due to the eyelets? You just learn to bend your legs to bend down…
And yes, Whales = bones / boning, I used Google traduction to translate my comment and I dont have seen this funny mistake ^ ^
