This Asian inspired blouse evolved out of Indygo Junctions’s vintage blouse epattern. Adding simple front and back darts shaped the garment to accent the body. A side invisible zipper provides ease in getting on and off. Self piping accents the neck and arm edges particularly along the upper neckband edge and cuff edges where it contrasts with the fabric. The neckband and cuffs are constructed with the fabric wrong side as a contrast to the ornate right side of the fabric. The inside of the neckband uses the right side of the fabric as an accent adding to the framing of the neck by the neckband.
The fabric is a washable brocade with a nice drape but body. As such, no interfacing was used.

I think this is quite lovely. I also tried adapting that blouse pattern—mine turned out well, but not as nice as this one by a long stretch! I especially like the little turned back cuffs on the sleeve.
