Description

Re-design of free jacket pattern. Using the free jacket pattern by Indygo Junction, I designed a soft flowing over jacket. I extended the sleeve length slightly, curved the front neckline, cropped the jacket length, added a contrast belt and lightly gathered shaped bottom panels. The belt is double buttoned. The bottom panels curve from the front opening to a longer back. The back upper panel should have been made from one cut of material on the fold. I was using remnant pieces that had print flaws, so alas, the flowers don’t match up and I had to seam two back sections together. The jacket is being worn over a simple tank top made of the contrasting belt material and a one-seam lined pull on skirt. (Green hat is store bought, with a twist of the jacket fabric braided in the band.)

Material Notes

The main material was a printed sheer, the contrast fabric was a remnant of raw silk I had in my stash and the skirt lining was polyester/crepe.
