This versatile skirt has been made using a vintage pattern from 1953. The fabric used is a Liberty of London print cotton canvas. The print has fabulous autumnal colours & features chrysanthemums, dahlias & anemones.
The pockets are lined with a grey Jaeger satinised lining, there is a centred zip in the back seam & a vented pleat. This is a great skirt in a fantastic fabric, not often found.
The construction of the skirt is as it would have been if made in the 50’s. The seams have all been pinked & the hem bound with seam tape & hand stitched into place. This is an individual, unique item, not to be repeated in this fabric. More photographs & details can be found on my blog, Vintage Belle
