I wanted to use a bed sheet that my mum had used as a child in the 60s. I really loved the vintage looking lion cartoon faces on it.
So I decided to make myself a dress.
I used a yellow linen that we had covering our sofas in my childhood home to make a basic bodice using contour bust dress tute on here. I use a vintage dress pattern to make an A line skirt out of the sheet, being careful to use the best faces on the front.
I finished it with an orange ribbon halter neck and some orange bias binding.
I used it as a stage costume, but I would happily wear it as a summer dress too!
