A Christmas present for a friend of mine. It ended up being very time consuming as hand sewing all the tassels took ages but it was worth it in the end.
All my white wool was too bright in comparison with the lace so I used some felting wool but it was dyed different colours so I used all the cream, then had to unravel the ball to find more of the cream.
The material was left over from a project of my mum’s. I left the selvage edge unfinished because I liked the way it was slightly frayed.
Purple polyester, cream wool, vintage lace.

Gorgeous! That lace beading trim makes a terrific contrast against the dark purple.
