Inspired by Brigitte Bardot’s wedding dress and shapes of the 50s and 60s the bride wanted something simple and elegant but playful. The lace was an important part as she wanted a very particular 60s style pattern.
The outer fabric is Cotton sateen with a double silk georgette overlay and the lace is a heavy guipure lace with daisy’s and leaves. The skirt is a full circle and the bodice has princess seams and 3/4 length sleeves. On the inside I made a boned corselette to support her magnificent bust and omitted a lining to keep her cool.
