Here I took some vintage curtains and used the fabric to make a summer dress. The most important measurements when drafting this pattern were bust and waist. The elastic back, a-line cut and neck ties make this dress very complimentary. I added some brown and peach binding and also a bit of cotton lace on the trim for some extra touches. Although this is a “summer” dress I like to wear it over jeans and with a cardigan in cooler climates.
vintage curtains ( enough for 2 yards), binding for neck ties, binding for bust and hem, lace for hem, elastic, thread, fabric shears.
