There are a few “manias” going around on Burdstyle. There is a “Sorbetto”-mania, a “Ute”-mania and “Coffee date dress” mania. Just to name a few.
I had a go at the first two, it was the coffee date dress that had to come next.
Easy, pattern, beautiful fit, so practical, you can accessorize it up or down.
I love ruffles and I meant to add the ruffles as per the original pattern, but I received the beautiful crochet collar from my mother in law and decided to put it at good use.
The button in the middle is a vintage as well, circa 70s purchased from Selfridges.
have accessorized the dress with a satin belt and Mulberry sandals (approx £295, 2009/2010 collection).
E Voila!
Material purchased from the market, not sure about the composition, it is probably a blend. Vintage crochet collar, vintage pearl and stone button, grey zipper and pearl button at the back. Satin for the belt.

Super cute dress, I love the collar you used (which reminds me I have a few similar collars in my stash, I might use them too!). BTW, thanks for the nice comments you left me!

As always I love your pieces..but I must say that you have a nice mother in law: fabric, crochet collar and I think others……I wish my mother in law gave me so nice fabric…….. I think that the coffee date dress is made all around the world….I want to make one. It will be my next project (after I finish the one I started last night :)) )……It worth making because it’s such a “summery” dress. Kisses and keep up the good work :*

Super cute dress! I love that you can add crochet to just about anything these days. This is also one of my faves http://www.allfreecrochet.com/Sweaters/Off-the-Shoulder-Dress

Yes, and the Peter pan collar seems to be back in force! I followed the link, gorgeous dress. I can crochet, but I am not that good, and that will take me ages!!! Gorgeous off-the-shoulder dress!

checked your coffee date dress, in fact your first dress. Adding sleeves is a brilliant idea of a variation. I might try that with ruffles. I love all your dresses, especially teh one before the last. I remember when you posted it. Congratulations!
