Using offcuts of my absolute favourite fabric – Harris Tweed – I made this little vintage clutch.
The project was taken from the book ‘Making Vintage Bags’ by Emma Brennan and was my first attempt at making a bag.
The main fabric is purple herringbone tweed, offcut from a skirt I had made. The bag base is buckram, padded with wadding the the lining is purple satin. Just to finish it off I made a little corsage from a piece of harris tweed tartan with fringed edges.
This was a great fun little project and the envelope style pattern was very easy to work with.
