Can not imagine a simpler model! Casual straight pattern for dresses, the back has a single button for fastening. Shoulder part has gathering to have femine look. The sleeves and neckline is sewn with a sloping edge tape, made from the same cloth. I created a hook for Vintage button (I recently got a purchase from ebay – black glass buttons from 1950′ies). Waist was tucked with elastic, only – when determining the height, turns out that the elastic is stitched at hip level thus forming a kind of two-piece dress effect, and the feeling of freedom when the clothes don’t stick on the body. The bottom edge of the dress was more difficult – I am sure that in sewing terminology there is a specific name for such edge treatment.
Overall, I got a nice summer clothes, I loved wearing this fabric. Definitely will buy more satin fabric – it is easy to sew, beautiful and pleasant to wear.
