This dress is from the 1947 remake Butterick pattern # 5214. I’ve had these two fabrics in my stash for awhile, knew I wanted to make this dress. It was fairly easy. Since I used a open eye fabric I had to line the skirt. I also made the belt from the pattern, this is my first time actually making a belt with the buckle etc. I like the way the dress turned out, love the dark blue skirt fabric.
Skirt- Dark blue eyelet for. Top- cotton with a sheer the (Mill End fabric) . Lining, zipper & thread.

How did you cover the buckle? (and where did you get one from?)

I bought the covered buckle kit online @ www.afashionablestitch.com. I couldn’t find any in my area at the terrible fabric stores. The website is great, they ship quickly. I need to order more, stock up ;-).
