Description

I had to make my 9 yr old a Victorian Lady costume for the school production of Oliver. I only had a day, so no one gets to see the seams (or lack thereof!) but overall I’m delighted with the dress, and more importantly, so is Indy.

The top is based on the Nerdy Blouse pattern, with long top-gathered sleeves and the skirt sewn onto it at waist height. I pleated the back of the skirt to create a hint of a bustle and attached the belt.

Material Notes

Cottons, buttons and a buckle.

You’re like super sewing mom to the rescue! The quality really isn’t that bad, it’s cute.
