Lace trimmed white Victorian corset

Material Notes

Two layers of heavy mercerized cotton.Heavy metal busk, spiral steel boning. Lace trim hand stitched in place.

    The corset pattern is the Truly Victorian 110. I found it excellent. The chemise is also from a period pattern that I found in graph form on the net. It was fairly easy to scale up.

    I also did her some drawers: highly amusing! Chemise and drawers were made from white cotton sheeting. It’s brilliant stuff, and a great price.

    I’m glad you like them. They were quite a bit of work, but fun to do. They sparked an adventure in conservation, and I now have some genuine 1880’s underwear to conserve and make patterns from, which will be different!.

      Yes. Sorry I missed this comment earlier. Things get hectic round here at times. The pattern is one from a genuine Victorian chemise pattern. There are bloomers too. :)
