I wanted a lightweight dress for the summer. I made it in just a couple of days but the sun disappeared before I could wear it! I ran out of material so the length looks a bit weird but I think I will shorten it to the knees. The straps are annoying as they will just not stay up even after i shortened them, moved them Grrr! Double sided sticky tape to the rescue.
The next one I make, I thought I would make halter top to eliminate the slidey strap problem.
Please excuse the showing underwear, my 2yr old was tugging at me and wanting to be in the shot!
£1 a meter stuff, polyester I think.

One of those things that only shows up “after” everything is finished, I guess. Still, it does look good everywhere else. You have chosen a great color for your skin tone. It gives you a golden look. Nehmah

Do you think the problem with the straps is placement? They look as though they are placed too far apart. Another creation had a similar appearance. (The outer edge looks to be almost in the armscye.) Nehmah

Yes, its the placement. They need to be even further over but how would that affect the bust part?
