I just learned yesterday that this outfit won the Best Dressed Lady award at Broadstairs Dickens Festival. I am dead chuffed. :)

Just a little pillow over a modest hoop petticoat. Budget and time were both limited, and it didn’t seem worth the extra to make a cage crinoline for a converted polyester bridesmaid gown skirt!

Very nice! I really like the shape of the bodice. How did you do the volume of the skirt? A pillow at the back and a petticoat or a full bustle-cage?
