I found this lace fabric in a second-hand store. My sister came up with the brilliant idea of making a lace vest, so I did! And it turned out lovely.

I am thinking about making a lace vest too. I was wondering- is it hard to sew lace? What were the alterations you made to the “Franzi”?

you should make one! no, it wasn’t that hard, but I guess it depends on what kind of lace you use. This lace was pretty stiff, so it didn’t move much as I sewed.
I only used front and back pieces. no pockets and buttons. I pretty much used the pattern as it were. (:

oh okay. make sure you don’t ever iron it! it will burn and make a hole in it. (this happened to my shirt….)

Nice idea! Is this craft lace, or crocheted kind of lace?
