Description

Very flattering, very easy dress from Vogue pattern 8280. Can easily go from office to happy hour with the girls.
Pattern provides several other options for bodice and sleeves. I want to do the next one in a soft pink with princess neckline and short sleeves.

Material Notes

At least 2-way Stretch cotton for more flexibility and better fit

I have this pattern too. I haven’t cut it out yet so it’s good to see how it turns out on someone else. The style looks really good on you and I like how you can dress it up or down.

You are going to LOVE this dress!! The hardest part was the sleeves. Take a look at the pics Seemane posted also.

Lovely! I’ve just ordered this pattern too – got a stash of grey-checked stretch y wool-mix fabric waiting for this project :) This is style is sooooo very similar to Roland Mouret’s Galaxy Dress, Picture 1, Picture 2… it’s those fabulous structure sleeves that do it for me!

thanks so much for the pics! You’re right!!! It’s exactly the same dress. Trust me, you will want to make this dress over & over again before you get bored with it. The sleeves were a little trick for me b/c they want you to sew the pleats in on the right side & I don’t love the way it looks. Let me know what you think.

thanks for the encouragement!! Let me know how yours turns out and let me know how you like the sleeves if you’re doing sleeves which I think the sleeves make it all worth it.

It is flattering! I like the neckline a lot, and I can’t believe you when you say it’s easy because it looks so detailed.
