I got the inspiration from the following blog: http://www.adventuresindressmaking.com/2010/10/fancy-fabric-flowers-two-ways-tutorial.html but decided to make a few alterations, I only used 6 circles of fabric, all same size and used a circle of felt as base. I then sewed one of my vintage buttons in the centre. This project is great if you only have scraps. I will definitely be making more of them- they would make a great stocking filler this Christmas!!
I used a blouse I bought from George at ASDA some years ago. I never worn it as it was too big but loved the pattern so much I never could bring myself to get rid of it! I was right in the end :-)
This fabric is polyester, it’s very light and definitely has a silky feel about it.
