Inspired by a dress worn by Nadine from Girls Aloud on the front cover of a mag (see last pic) – I liked the one shoulder belted look. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a fabric as fab as hers – the fabric I used was more for ‘experimental’ purposes!! Its a little loud for me! But I’m relatively happy with how the general shape of the dress came out – tho next time I will give it a longer zip – was a bit of a struggle to get in and out of!!! First I made the fitted lining, then used lots of the chiffon which is gathered on the shoulder and along the upper seam and held in place with a gathered belt around the waist.
Polycotton lining with ultra bright chiffon outer layer.
