This is my second attempt of Colettes Macaron dress, and my favourite thing I’ve ever made by far. I am so much in love with it. I love the colour combination, so very berry me. The cordurory is so petable, that I do find myself stroking the fabric when I wear it. The purple cotton had a slight stretch to it, which for me meant I had easy movement when I was on the dance floor. When I bought the fabric, my sister thought the combination was a bit weird, but she has eaten her words and agrees they were a perfect fabric/colours for me.
Again, I stress, what a joy colette patterns are to use. I love it that it comes in such a large range of sizes and that I didn’t have to alter the pattern as the largest size fitted me like a dream.
Cordurory, cotton.

There’s rules to colour? LOL that has never stopped me in the past. I live to be colourful, it makes me happy, where black just drains the life right out of me. So viva the colour!

Yes it’s one of those dresses that just put a bounce in my step when I wear it.
Actually what attraches me to the colette patterns is 1) the sizing, I’m a colette size 18
2) the gorgeous retro looks
3) their pattern instructions are a joy to follow, I have struggled badly with patterns instructions in the past and now tend to work on instinct, which can lead me astray.
I can’t wait to make more colette clothing.
