West Orange, New...
This is my second to last project for my advanced costume class: a pillbox hat made from scratch. It was really hard to not pick a crazy 60s-inspired fabric, but I wanted something I would actually wear. Now I just need to make a linen suit to match! It is about 95% hand sewn and has a beautiful blue lining to match the flowers. I would estimate it took about 15 hours to make.
Fabric, buckram, millinery wire, thread, fabric flowers, paper flowers
