South Of Eden, M...

The third of the trilogy of dresses I’ve started. The actual dress was a piece of cake. The velvet was lovely to work with but the belt was the one that made the whole thing hellish. However the belt is detachable so I can combine the dress with other appropriate belts or with a choker I also made with a decorative silver clasp, but forgot to take a picture of

This is just lovely – you just keep pumping these gems out Darl! Beautiful colour – so unusual but just gorgeous!!! The belt was worth the effort – you look beautiful! xxx

Like this velvet-dress a lot and the belt fits very well. I didn’t read ‘the story’ … so I am convinced you succeeded with ‘Velvetina’! It is a typical Sewella-dress and I like your stuff.

Wow, I´ve read about your throubles with this one… great that you persisted and didn´t cut it to pieces :). I thought working with velvet was very difficult… I like it, but I guess I like brighter colors on you more :).

Well, not that sewing the velvet was flowing, so to speak (it wriggled like crazy) but I managed it. This was a good lesson working with velvet since I have another one (in green) waiting to be done. Was very close to “slaughter” the belt though.
I totally agree with you concerning brighter colours. I find them more appealing too but just had to have this. Thank you for taking the time with me!
