Description

Vintage Simplicity pattern from 1955 made in lightweight English wool. I love cropped jackets & this one is going to be a favourite. The jacket is fully lined to make it a bit more substantial. I handstitched the velvet trim on the collar (took ages!) but ran out for the cuffs. In hindsight this is probably just as well as cuffs always get battered & caught on stuff & it wouldn’t do if the trim ripped off!

I agree as for cropped jackets: they really are pretty universal and look well with any clothing. The colour is great, too, and I like the way you embellished the collar.

Thank you Oksana. It needed a little “extra”.
