Step 10 Construction Notes: Tailoring

Img_9697_large

I used the machine tailoring method on this jacket to interface the under collar and stand and the under lapel and front shoulder area.
I steamed the collar over my tailors ham to set the shape.

Machine tailoring does not involve pad-stitching the front interfacing to the fashion fabric. Instead, the interfacing is stitched to the seam allowance using carrier strips.
I hand stitched the taped roll line.
I added a muslin back stay piece.
