Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made this velvet dress for my dear friend Noora . The fabric is from an old velvet dress, that I bought from a flea market I work in. The dress was so big, that I could easily cut the patternpieces of it. I’m happy that it turned out pretty well and my friend looks so cute in it!:)

This is so lovely! I’m really into this shape at the moment, and your dress is perfect. I’m not normally a fan of velvet, but the shine and texture look beautiful here. Really impressed.

Thanks!:) I’ve had also sometimes mixed thoughts about velvet, but at the moment I love it! I’m actually making two other velvet dresses at this moment, oops.. :)

Thank you:) I drafted a pattern that was based on one of my frined’s dresses just to get the measurements right. However I’m sure you can make a dress like this just altering a basic t-shirt pattern:)
