I found this cool fabric at Walmart. It came in panels and so I had to work around it. I used it for the skirt. I love the black flames at the hemline and the dragon shapes.
This dress is so not me but nonetheless I love it. I added the red flower to make it a bit more bright. I also made it a halter top.
I literally dug into my stash of fabrics to find a little bit of black fabric for the straps and a little bit of red for the flower.

Oh, I see myself doing the same – I would grab that fabric too, even then understanding that it’s not “me”! The fabric looks gorgeous and you did the best dress that could be done with it! Love the halter top style as well!

Thank you. I do think it did come out pretty good and I am usually my worst critic.

You are welcome and I am sorry – I just read my comment and it doesn’t really sound as nice as I meant it. I didn’t mean it in the sense of “It’s bad, but you did the best you could given the odds” ;-), but as in “That fabric is difficult to use in a garment in such a way that shows it’s beauty and you made the best choice!” :-) I really love it! (And I understand the “being one’s own worst critic” so well!!! :-))
