      Hi Sophie!
I have to say that this is a simple skirt, what you see in black is a wide belt!
Anyway, just today Disney from Ruffles and Stuff has added a wonderful tutorial on how to do such skirts check her blog at

    Aww, it’s so cute. =P

How long did it take and how do you determine the necessary width?

well i didn´t know how to do it, at varies a LOT depending on the quality of the fabric you use, I started of using 150 cm, and then cutting it until it fitted as I wanted, this one meassures 100 cm.

peruviangel: nop, it is a wide elastic belt, my first try wih this skirt was with a wide elastic, bt the only one i got was a bad quality one, so when it was finished it looked very weird (it was like loose and strange) so I took it off and did a normal waist band….

thank you sooo much for taking your time looking and leaving a comment!!!!!!
