This is a pattern I took off an haute couture bolero from the 1940s. It’s a very clever cut, made all of one piece. I will definitely post the pattern here at some point.
This was my test sample, it’s a cashmere/mohair blend. Like on the original, I attached the hem all around by hand with herringbone stitch in matching silk thread, and hand-overcast the raw edges on the darts and side seams. It took forever, I probably will use a slightly different finishing method for custom orders.
