This is the first top I have ever made (I’ve been living in the land of skirts and dresses since I started sewing back in 2005. This project included a lot of “firsts” for me. First time making spaghetti straps, first time making adjustable straps at that, first time adding buttons, first experience with princess seams, bias tape, and first time drafting a pattern from an existing piece of clothing (a top I got from Plato’s Closet last summer that I loooooove. I also used the contour bust pattern, which was easy to work with, but a little large for me, so I have to take in the sides of the bust a little yet, but I’m so excited about the way it turned out I wanted to post it right away…here it is! My first post on burdastyle :)
Also, I apologize for my poor quality pictures, but all I had was myself and my phone…
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
