Description

I made this for my Cousins Wedding it’s my first time using boning and I enjoyed making this dress even getting confused with the pleats. I was worried the dress will not fit but it fit like a glove and was comfortable until I realised I couldn’t drive in it the arms restricted me until I realsied it was my bra straps which I pulled down!!! Doh. I made my Mum’s Dress in Pink Silk Sari Fabric.

Material Notes

I bought 2 lots of fabric for this dress first a bright red with specks of gold and swirls £20 plus £6 for the lining then I thought no the swirls will clash with the pleats so I drove from Nottingham to Leicester and found this wonderful Purple Silk just £5 per meter and satin for lining. Purple beads for decoration.
