One of my favorite artists made a new t-shirt…this time he only made men shirts in sizes M and L…but I liked the motif because it is related to berlin and recent events…he promissed me to do women XS again next time…so I took a mens L (it has more fabric than an M…obviously) I wanted to make a dress but had no idea which pattern to use at this point…
Finally I ended up using the “V-back dress” pattern again…it was the only one I found that had a plain front ( didn’t want to have any plaits in the motif)…and I already had it in my stash. I did a sketch…this time short sleeves and a front panel with two different colors. I don’t like white near my face (it’s white enough :) )
I had luck and found a jersey at the fabric market that matched the red of the motiv…at least almost.
Cut out the smallest size with no seam allowance…but I will have to do it a bit tighter next time…it’s quite casual. Again no bust darts and no zipper. I even closed the back. I used an elastic stitch for the hem. Now I can hop on my bike with no ripping sound.

This is gorgeous! You’ve done a great job of keeping the style of the dress to enhance the motif design.

What a great way to add some interest to a t-shirt! I’m gonna have to try this. Thanks for sharing!
