Description

The pattern seamed to be simple.Since I used an elastic fabric I could just drop the zipper. Although the fabric is elastic I cut the bottom part on the bias (as requested in the instructions). This makes walking in this dress more comfortable. I used the smallest size but had to take the side seams in about 1.5 inch per side and shorten the upper part 5 inch…but I have to admit that I’m a skinny dwarf. My dress didn’t have the exposed back issue because I positioned the ends of the back parts closer to the side seams. Nevertheless I installed a little hook and eye to secure the position.

    Das Kleid habe ich ja schon seit langem im Auge, fand aber es sah kompliziert aus. Deine Stoffwahl gefällt mir ja sehr gut, ich finde es passt zu dem Kleid und es steht Dir 1a ! Gute Arbeit :-))

      Wenn ich sehe, was du schon alles genäht hast, sollte dieses Kleid kein Problem sein! Dank Stretchstoff wird sogar der Reißverschluß überflüssig. Ich musste die Teile des Oberteils kürzen, weil ich mehr als 10cm kleiner bin als die 1,68m für die das Schnittmuster angelegt ist. Man könnte bestimmt auch einfach das Rockteil kürzen…aber dann stimmen eben die Proportionen nicht mehr…
      Ich habe das Kleid schon zweimal genäht und trage es sehr gern!

    Wow, sieht super aus!! Ich habe auch überlegt, dieses Kleid zu nähen. Welchen Stoff hast du genommen? Steht dir sehr gut!

      Genau weiß ich gar nicht, was das für ein Stoff ist, da ich ihn bei einem türkischen Händler auf dem Stoffmarkt gekauft habe. Die Oberfläche sieht aus wie Jeans, der Stoff ist aber dünner und elastisch. Ich tippe auf Polyester oder ähnliches…einen Baumwollanteil kann ich nicht erkennen. Die Farbe ist ein ganz dunkles Grau, leicht meliert.
      Der Schnitt an sich ist recht einfach. Ich musste aber einiges ändern, weil ich mit der Passform nicht zufrieden war. Habe das Kleid also noch etwas tailliert und insgesamt 12 cm gekürzt (am Oberteil nicht am Rockteil…wegen der Proportionen)

    Nice dress, very elegant! Who painted the wall behind you? Love how the little art pieces blends in:) Sorry, I love wall painting almost as much as sewing:)))

      It’s our living room wall. Me and my boyfriend painted it. There are 5 little canvases on the whole wall.
