Description

This burda dress is made in faux leather with zip detail to give it a more edgy look. Should be good for house work and sewing as threads don’t stick to it! Pockets can be part of the design but I left these off as a little short on fabric. Pocket detail could be with zips, flaps or just plain.

Material Notes

This dress could be made in pretty much any fabric, all with a good result
This design has lots of scope for reworking and would be nice with a second skirt detail with an uneven hem

I’ve never sewn faux leather, you are brave. You’ve made a good job and the zip looks perfect. I think you’ll be wearing this more than you think…so practical!

Very nice dress Christy! You can dress it up – and down – depends on the occasion :) Fabric looks lovely!

Faux leather is my nightmare – I mean I’m afraid of working with it:-)) But your dress is well done and I like the way you combined it with other things. Looks nice:-)
