  Susanne, I guess a new project doesn’t mean a new pattern. I already had Ute and I’m not really interested in this Simplicity skirt so I’m somewhat disappointed as well but oh well, next monday is coming fast…

  Thank you for the Ute pattern. This outfit will be for the granddaughter. I’m pleased it won because I already have that skirt pattern. Of course, it was a “bit” more expensive than $5.00 (US). However, it is better to buy when you really like it; too often the good stuff gets away. ;( Nehmah

  I am working on variation B of this blouse in a lovely green/beige/pearl floral and I’m trying to match the pattern on the princess seams. Since the seams are curvy, I’m not sure where the matching looks best – the bust or the waist? Anyway I chose the bust. I’m also not very sure how to handle the button placket facing during assembly. Is there a how-to on that? Thanks!!

  As for the pants or the skirt..we will have a skort pattern coming up next spring. Still a little away but it is in production!

  Pretty shirt. I love the sleeves – and in a few weeks it’ll be heading towards short sleeve weather in this half of the globe. I may have to indulge myself.

  I really love this pattern. The cut is similar to a (very expensive) Paul Smith blouse I have that just fell apart after a couple of washes. I’m definitely going to make one of these when my children are back in school!

  I really really like the tie but I have to admit I’m not fond of the sleeves. I so wished there was a variation with long sleeves, another 2 weeks and it’s going to be too cold for short sleeves here anyway.

  Amazing work with the pattern-matching on this garment, that fabric must have been such a headache but it really makes a difference to the finished look. You see so many cheap commercial garments these days where they haven’t bothered to match the plaid, check or print, and it just looks so sloppy and irritating. Thanks for reminding us what to shoot for :)
