This dashing gent chose the fabric combination himself.
The surprise toile of the Andrew for the man in my life was well received. The next step – complete freedom to chose your own fabric, Mister!
What a delightful result. Comfortable and warm. And, it is interesting what the fabric choices reveal about his personality. He is born and bred in the city, but there is a distinct country influence, here. So, I played it up with the toile fabric Handsome label.
wool tweed (with a little give); wool ribbing (with a hint of nylon in the blend); leather (look?) buttons

You lined up the pattern perfectly! I, too, want to make this one for my man, but I think I’ll call mine the “Big Daddy”. ;)

Very handsome Sweets!!! I agree with everyone – very “English Gentleman at Leisure”!!! He should take up trout fishing and then take you out for a lovely stroll on the moors! Lovely job – the buttons and the wool are such a classic combination and I must say I am impressed by his style re the choosing of the fabric. Nice matching of the lines and it’s good to see that new machine of yours is getting a workout for the lovely lable.
PS I am really rather taken by the fluffy chap watching on while reclining on the sofa . . ;) xxxxxx

The result is truly great! Both your talent and his choice combined into a wonderful piece! I don’t know if it’s my growing up in a “slightly” different country with slightly different fashions (and no, not like in the old Wendy’s commercial, which my husband found and now teases me with from time to time – this is the link to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFaIcx0WkOY ), but it looks sort of sophisticated to me, while still being definitely “country”. So the name is great for the project and your work is impeccable!!!

as you can see in my profile, i love this kind of cloths for the upcoming winter season! tweed, wool and all kind of “british-gentlemen-chick” is just what i will go for and i adore the cardigan you made! (the little tag is fab too!)

I really like this sweater – it looks like it should be worn with beige trousers, some wellie boots and a flat cap though!

hehehe.. thanks lovey! I’ll pass on your advice on the co-ordinates. It’s funny you say that, he also mentioned he feels like he should buy himself a pipe for this get up now, too!
