An adorable knee-length, tulip skirt with a pleated front and back and side zipper. I sewed a 40.
I didn’t really follow the instructions. I read through them and kinda changed them a bit because I added a lining. I have the instructions up on my blog as a sew along, so come check in if you’d like to sew with us!
I totally didn’t get the facings so I tossed them & sewed without them. Other than that it’s super quick to make and easy and really adorable.
I am actually sewing another one out of a more formal fabric that I’m going to refer to as my Downtown Marie. I highly recommend this skirt for beginners and think it’s a great item to sew for your first zipper.
Come sew along with us! It’s almost springtime and who doesn’t want a cute little skirt to ring in the changing seasons??
