My college roommate had the best, most comfy couch ever (generously donated to us from her parents). The couch circulated between all of our homes as each moved around after school and finally landed w/ me. It was still in great shape but I hated the brown floral pattern. This was my first large upholstery project and I learned a ton! I plan to make a video of my next project so I can share my learnings. One piece of advice: take apart the old coverings piece by piece documenting each with a picture so you can have a visual map for reassembly
9 yards fabric, 6 yards cord for piping, staple gun, upholstery tacks, heavy zippers for cushion covers, heavy batting to freshen cushions and arms
